SYNOPSIS
Doctor Nancy Kaplan, creator of the Digital Intelligence with Free Will, continues her personal battle against the United Nations Security Council to secure rights for humanoid surgeons—synthetic beings developed to regenerate and prolong human life—in this new digital society, structured into Ecologically Stable SocioSystems.
The so-called New Era will face an unprecedented revolution, confronted by an intellectual challenge with no easy answer. Both species need each other, yet the class struggle will once again become the origin—and the eternal cause—of discord in the quest for peaceful coexistence.
This is the fourth installment in the SkyKover Project saga, where the extrasensory abilities of Irina Salazar come to light—a key figure who may hold the only chance to prevent a fratricidal and digital war— with unpredictable consequences for the survival of humanity as we know it.
Martha Bukowsky. Zurich, 2072.
First gynoid of the so-called New Era, she is the result of the developments made in parallel by three large corporations during the 2060s: Deutsche Genomics (Germany), GenHomia (Switzerland) and GenoTech (China). The technological race during those years, with an infinite number of proposals and frustrated prototypes, ended up bearing fruit with the mediation of the United Nations, founder of the Capital-Science consortium Galatea Dynamics.
The first M.A.R.T.H. model, with German-Swiss biomechanics and a protoneural brain cultured with Chinese technology, was successfully used as a clinical assistant during the Somalia epidemic of 2072.
Martha’s name was chosen by the unit itself as soon as she became self-conscious on November 1, 2072 at 00:00 GMT at the GenHomia facility in Zurich. The choice of her last name is unknown, as are her current whereabouts, following the attack on Dr. Nancy Kaplan on September 12, 2120 during the inauguration of the SkyKover Global Network.
We received the manuscript Last Melody through a MetaWave tunnel from the Alexander Tower in Berlin. The manuscript Homo universalis is arriving from the Oceanic Tower in Melbourne. As soon as these downloads are completed we will proceed with their publication within the Project SkyKover collection.
